I’m making this recipe again tonight and added some of what others suggested on the blog like adding taco seasoning, & i used a small can of diced tomatoes with peppers/onions, some cilantro, frozen mixed veggies (my daughter loves those) and made it in my rice cooker DELICIOUS!!
Cooking it again tonight love this meal

I've been making this recipe on a regular basis since it was first posted. Big family fave. Very budget-friendly. I did make two tiny changes, though. We sometimes use fozen capsicum. Not quite as good as fresh, but good enough in a pinch. We also dice, instead of slice, the chorizo - just a personal preference. And the smoked sausages freeze and defrost well. You can make this entirely from frozen and shelf-stable ingredients if you have to.

I made this for myslef when the recipe came out... SOOOO GOOD! I didn't think though, that I might want to reduce the quantities a bit. I ate it three times a day for two days. AND I DON'T REGRET IT :D So simple, yet so delicious. I used spicy chorizo

Absolutely delicious! I bragged to my family how great and tasty it was. So I was so happy to make it a second time and of course whenever you get cocky life will knock you upside the head! Everything was in the pot and ready to go I brought it up to a nice boil, set my timer for twenty minutes. I was using Jasmine rice so I cut the water down. I was making a double batch. Anyway I had everything under control until my smoke alarm went off!!! Went back in to my smoky kitchen and realized I walked away with the gas still on Med. High heat!! And yes the entire bottom was burnt!!! In my old age I find I've been doing this a lot lately. Usually thinking I've turned the heat off and it's still on low. But it is a great and very tasty one pot meal especially if you don't burn the hell out of it! Love all your recipes!! Also awesome that you have a video for all of them! I wish you Peace, Love, Courage from David in Detroit.

I make something similar to this recipe. I would add broccoli instead of the green peas. I’m not a fan of green peas. Otherwise this is a delicious recipe 🤤🤤🤤

You can also skip the chicken cook it white in a ricecooker( or same pot¡ then just do the sausages, and then veggies with the same oil of the sauages then mix it together in a large pot. Very tasty aswell without feeling bloated but also if you dont have the chicken stock then yea lmao
