Phone companies should be required to update their systems ti added the unique phone number Address ID. Then a phone number couldn’t be issued without identity verification. No more spoofing and some person or company would be responsible for the illegal activity.

Actually Azul, I have a phone appointment set up with Social Security as I send this message. I am turning 62 in September and am planning to start drawing SS as soon as possible. I went in person to our local SS office and they set up the phone appointment. I don’t like the idea of giving ANY information via phone. Why are they using this method? In light of all the concerns about A.I. it doesn’t make much sense. Has anyone else had this type of experience with SS???😮 I would sure appreciate some feedback. Thank you as always!!

Think about the Madden football game version 1 to the latest version and you will see how sophisticated software has become. AI and Machine Learning is just software and it can't do anything that it is not programmed to do.
