I am thrilled to be unboxing the brand new iPad Air 5th generation (iPad Air 5) with M1 chip! That is the same chip, not just form the flagship iPad Pro, but also the iMac, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. I cant wait to test this chip and see what it is capable of! Price starts at $599 dollars or £569, a full $200 less than the iPad Pro but with the same chip. Comes in: 5 beautiful colours, including starlight, purple and the classic space grey that I have here. 64gb and 256gb. The iPad has come a long way over the years and with the new iPad Air I really want to see if I can use this as a computer. I even got the magic keyboard and smart folio. The new iPad Air features a 10.9” IPS display, 500 nits of brightness, true tone. Support 2nd gen Apple Pencil. Same design as last year. Glass front with aluminium frame. Touch ID, Face ID only in iPad Pro. Headline feature is that super powerful M1 chip. 12MP f1.8 wide angle camera on the back, 4K 60fps. Improved 12MP ultra-wide front camera, capable of centre stage where the frame will more with you during a call. Stereo speakers (quad speakers on iPad Pro). Can also get cellular version for 5G connectivity, great for traveling. I cant wait to start using and testing the new iPad Air, to see how it fits into my workflow and day as well as seeing if it is capable of replacing my MacBook as my main computer. With the iPad Air now featuring the same M1 chip as on the iPad Pro, the gap between the two models in terms of features, narrows significantly. This is definitely something I will explore more in my full review video!

I currently have the iPad 6th gen. it runs ios 16 smoothly.although it does not have the features that can be only for m1 iPads which is unfair.I am planning to get the air 5 space grey with base model because this iPad is 32 gb and upgrading to a 64 is massive for me.

Well in my opinion Touch ID wasn’t reliable and never worked on my iPhone 6 Plus but Face ID on my current iPhone 11 is reliable and always works
