None of you have watched the show. Her husband is schizophrenic and doesn't want her to see his episodes. He eventually realizes she will fight for and protect him. They both have their reasons for being upset. He's actually a genuinely good man who suffers from a painful illness.

All my years of education, it was supposed that George suffered from porphyria. Schizophrenia makes so much more sense! Thank you for those who've mentioned it as a possibility. The poor man was seriously ill, that's for certain.

The problem is never that your partner has hobbies and passions. It only becomes a problem when they begin to shut you out and become secretive. Charlotte didn’t agree to these terms and her husbands distant nature wasn't made privy to her beforehand, she, like anyone who's been in a vaguely similar situation ever, has every right to be upset. Don't shut your partner out. Don't treat your relationship like its a chore. You can have your alone time, but if your partner feels like you've pulled away, don't deny their feelings.
