BM is not "the worst injury or disease" award although it's been like that in the last couple of years. The definition says - „ it goes to a player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to ice hockey. “ I totally respect Zucc and Duper, they've been through some really hard times and they both made it out. It would be ok if any of them won it.

But Jagr deserves it as much as themm, even more. Although he didn't suffer any hard injury, he absolutely fits the trophy's definition - „perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to ice hockey“ - In the age of 44, he still competes at the absolutely highest level of ice hockey. And he is still one of the best. Pardon me but to put up 66 points being 44 in todays NHL, the age of tight defense and super quality goaltending ? That's pretty unbelievable. The guy is 3rd all-time in points and goals, he started his NHL career in 1990 and he keeps on playing after 26 years.That shows amazing perseverance and dedication to the game. Nobody loves playing hockey more than him.
There was no better BM candidate than JJ this year, he deserved every bit of it.

It really would have been awesome to have Jagr there to accept the award. His acceptance speech likely would have been very entertaining

Jagr is old.
