If both Manny and Danny had the smarts of following up their heaviest album up with at least some more of the Sabbatical riffs and distorted guitar parts that were on their Hair Of The Dog release? They’d be just as big as the same groups who’d had them on their own Tours. Show No Mercy’s got to begin with a number that tells the listeners that they are here to stay and not screwing around about anything but going forward like the artists who we all heard on their previous release and they would’ve been headlining instead of just kind of sandwiched in between these groups that they were so much better than. I never understood why their guitarist didn’t suggest writing songs as heavy as the Miss Misery’s from the beginning of the next one ☝️ Even if an amazing band like this keeps covering their idols instead of creating songs in the same vein; a lot more people would know who Nazareth was and I don’t mean that’son of a bitch’ number off of every damned 8- track inside of every kid’s car in the world from’75. Aerosmith played like that from their debut onwards up until the first track written by Desmond Childs instead of just Tyler and Perry ripping off The Dolls their own idol’s whom they wanted to be. . But at least they kept their newest albums consistent ffsakes. Truly is a shame that Nazareth never got their due; because they certainly deserved to. No doubts about it!
