More info on the system would have been good in the video. I take it they drive generators that then power electric motors to power to ship? Or does the magnus effect create enough force to push the ship forward?

my only worry is that visibility gets kind of compromised/ obstructed by those large cylinders. Should be assisted by other means, like cameras for buffering the loss of view, may be important while navigating.

First company maybe. Certainly not first organisation. JAMDA's sail design in the 80s (put into practise on the Shin Aitoku Maru and Usuki Pioneer) produced far better results in terms of fuel savings (between 10 and 30 per cent) and only lost out because they took up a lot of deck space and fuel prices dropped far enough that people didn't think they needed them.
