Exactly as mine, it has different volume levels on different patches. If you tweak it it has decent tones.

This is a lil gem ... you can just use it as a headphone pre amp ... if you want to listen to mp3 or any type of audio player thru it....

I had the original Pod device, a little larger - moved over to the rack mount version and in all honesty with the studio out / line for computer soundcard and / or mixer router set up I'm saying SOLD! Now Steve Vai won't be selling the Jem guitar with monkey handle to me in favour of the Ibanez rg350dxz which is the same bloody guitar - don't get me wrong Steve is the man but The Hydra video is just a cheap 1 man band gimmik - where's the cymbal and cow bell Stevie? I've seen Mary Poppins

I realize you put this together some 2 years ago at this point (thanks for the in depth look!) I'm trying to decide if this would be a good replacement to the pod 2.0 which I use for recording direct to my multi track. I don't have a computer in my setup so I'm hoping you can fully tweak and create amp patches on the unit itself?

Amp out shouldn't go to your recorder, headphone out should. Doesn't amp out bypass the cabinet simulators?
