The Knicks actually were smart here. It sounded like (from Charles Barkley) Ainge wanted the farm and Leon Rose's first born. I like Mitchell, but you don't give up everything for him. NY is still in a pretty good position with young players and draft picks.

Let's be real, other than going to the Warriors or 1 of the other stacked teams. Mitchell got traded to the best situation he could ask for. Young rising team with 2 all stars. a future all-star in Mobley, quality bench. an Owner that will spend whatever he needs to. then this is his childhood favorite team. I'd say he couldn't have asked for a better situation considering he was traded. most definitely a better situation the what's in Newyork.

The Knicks did the right thing here, Mitchell is a solid player, but not someone worth giving up the farm for especially if he only makes your team marginally better, plus he's undersized like Brunson defense would've been weak. Ainge clearly didn't wanna send him to the Knicks so he tried to fleece them and Rose wasn't haven't any of it. If I'm not getting someone like KD, Giannis who make the team significantly better I'm not giving up a ton for anyone. Best thing for Knicks develop Barrett and hope he goes a step further to being an All-star+ player, Brunson needs to go one step up as well and honor his contract, Randle has to get back to 2020 Randle and they NEED to develop and give Obi a shot at the SF position and get rid of Fournier. We know who Fournier is and he's bad, at least Obi has upside so give him a shot at the 3!! With IQ, Grimes, Hartenstein and they get another solid bench piece the Knicks could be in the mix for that #6 seed
