Since we're not doing the traditionnal version of this dessert (there's usually no pie crust), let me give you a tip that will make it tastes a hundred times better: add some orange jam or some black currant jelly on the crust before placing the meringue on it. Trust me on this one.

That's the traditional 'Mont Blanc' dessert but oddly put together. Pretty though. Usually there's Chestnut Purée in the Centre, to indicate the 'Rock' of the mountain then Meringue on top .' the Snow' Whipped Cream an extra bit of Whiteness, I've not seen it done on a pastry base before, looks very cute. If you went for Tinned or Vacuum Packed Chestnuts how much would you need? Could you try to make 'Marrons Glacé'? That'd be Awesome!
