Kamelot is an American metal band from Tampa, Florida, formed by Thomas Youngblood and Richard Warner in 1991. The Norwegian vocalist Roy Khan joined for the album Siége Perilous, and shared songwriting credit with Youngblood until his departure in April 2011.
Up to 2012, Kamelot had released ten studio albums (excluding two reissues), two live albums, one live DVD, and seven music videos. Their latest studio album is Silverthorn, which is due October 2012.Kamelot returned to the melodic aspects of their multi-layered sound with their new vocalist Tommy Karevik

Kamelot and Hammerfall are the most awesome power metal bands ever. I can't say Kamelot is my favorite, but neither is Hammerfall. Kamelot can put so much feeling into a song where Hammerfall has the best solo's and riffs. It depends on my mood really, but Kamelot just kicks ass!
