Inkjet printing for pharmaceutical applications
Показать описание
FabRx Ltd., in collaboration with University College London (UCL) School of Pharmacy, is evaluating 3D printing to produce Printlets™ (3D printed tablets). Our aim is to make healthcare personal by producing personalised medicines using 3D printing, tailoring the dose, shape and size for each individual patient. This video belongs to a series of videos demonstrating the wide range of 3D printing technologies that we use to create printlets. In particular, these videos show how we print the drug paracetamol (acetaminophen, used as a pain reliever and a fever reducer).
In this video, an inkjet printer is used to print a drug-loaded ‘ink’ onto a glass slide. Using this technology, we can also print on top of a film to produce drug-loaded oral films.
