JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (Japanese: ジョジョの奇妙な冒険, Hepburn: JoJo no Kimyō na Bōken) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hirohiko Araki. I honestly prefer reading black and white version and re-read the coloured version as some sort of bonus

Black and white hits way different when on paper. I recently bought a physical volume of DiU and it looks perfect and way better than the black and white you'll see online.

I mean colored JoJolion manga has some really good pages and the *Araki Colors TM* used in them.
I prefer colored more than black and white cuz the colored team absolutely nailed part 7 and *A M* not that good with colors in the first place.

Araki’s super detailed art makes it really hard to understand what’s going on sometimes in action scenes. Colour usually helps in those cases.

Some of the colorwork is genuinely great. Most of SBR looked fantastic, and even some parts of JJL have such wonderful coloring, the Killer Queen flashback arc especially.

Speaking of colors, I wonder what they'll be like for the last chapter, considering that the first page will be in color. I wonder what sort of pallete Araki is going to go with.

I read manga in color for the longest time and only read manga that had colors. But then I started reading Jojolion, and eventually I caught up with the colored chapters.
Too Engrossed in the story, I continued reading in black & white and I gotta say...

It was pretty awesome, if it wasn't for that choice, if it wasn't for jojolion, I still would be a dummy who refuses to experience 90% of japanese comic literature just because they don't have colors like western comic literature does.

I liked 1 to 5 monochromatic but weirdly I prefer 6 and 7 coloured. 8 in black and white because it gives it a more vacuous twilight zone junji ito David lynch suburban meets the supernatural kind of vibe than I would get if they were coloured

I think the color at its best does add a whole lot. Like JoJolion's color looks absolutely amazing up until around the Mamezuku Mountain arc, maybe a bit before. And Stone Ocean also benefits greatly from it, for example look at the second page of Awaken Part 2, the way the orange dusk light mixes with the blue water just looks phenominal.

Tbh I just like reading the color scans so I can make sense of the multiple events that can happen at once. And with the colored it’s a tish bit hard but it takes some time. But really if you read the color scans up to the most recent scan, pretty much you should continue in black and white and personally what I feel is when that chapter is colored, it would be like a treat to read it colored. But that’s just my thoughts.
