3. Composting Toilet - We could not do van life without a toilet. We decided to go with a composting toilet over a chemical one because it separates the solids from the liquids = NO BAD SMELLS!! We use peat coir for composting and we get about 4-5 weeks until we need to change it. Because it separates number 1s from number 2s, we can dispose of our pee into normal toilets when dump stations are not available.
