Excellent i would rather steam the carrots than let them sit in water. i'm not making soup, and you lose all the flavor and vitamins.

I find it much easier to take canned baby carrots, drain and toss them into a pan with butter and your choice of either regular sugar or honey to add sweetness to the glaze. Takes less than 5 minutes and are better than boiled carrots. You can also steam some baby cut carrots ahead of time and simply reheat them in a pan with butter and sugar or honey.

Thanks for the lunch and side dinner idea. There were two lbs of unused carrots in the fridge that I didn’t want to waste and have grow roots before heading out of town.
