It should be made mandatory to impose lockdown for a month every year and stop commercial activities in order to curb the emission of various harmful gases. Even cities with poor Air Index have seen a lot of improvement with lockdown.

It's quite remarkable that global emissions only decreased 7% under the pandemic. 7%. Transitions from the dirty fossil industry is the only solution to this level of continued pollution and climate change. Something that many countries are adhering to, including China, likely the US (at least in due time), and Poland recently announced that they'd abandon their reliance on coal power plants (very widespread in Poland).
