Honestly, this game is really something else.


I've spent countless DAYS of my life playing arcade games, storydriven games, full on hardcore rpg's, lots of virutal novels and generally all sorts of games.
But this one, even after playing Undertale & DDLC just hooked me the most.
The whole story and the dark endings, with the VERY bittersweet true ending left me in absolute tears.
I didn't think that crying that much over a game could be possible for me, but here I am.
The simple yet cute design of the game with the atmosphere the OST's give off perfectly go together, PULLING you into the motion of the game.
This game is easily the most emotional game I've ever played, despite being by far inferior to other games in development effort.
It'll always be in my memories as a shockingly good experience.

This review was made before the solstice update was released. But the game is so much better with it. The story just isnt complete without it. I highly recommend replaying the game now (its almost twice as long now as well)

Oneshot is one of the most complex story-driven puzzle games I have ever played, It had me attached to every character. It totally likes breaking that fourth wall and It's soundtrack is amazing, having this calm yet eerie noise. In the end, I ended up crying It truly was a game that clicked to me and had me awe struck at the creativeness of the puzzles. Oneshot is a game worth playing, You gotta at least play it once and experience the world of the game.. Nightmargin and the crew are geniuses

I personnally loved OneShot, this game holds a special place in my heart.The feels during the playthrough were, to me, stronger than in Undertale(the end, the World Machine, the melancholy is the Glenn, etc).And, not to mention, I think the fourth wall was very well used (and some graphisms are beautiful, I'm thinking about the dreams).There sure are wrong points, like the fact that we're not really attached to the npcs (maybe it's the point knowing that the game is trying to tell us that they only are codes and that they couldn't be befriended).I also was disappointed about the Author, what I mean is that I would have loved knowing more about him, his past, what happened to him(it is said in the game that he disappeared).But anyways, I do love this game, and none of us could say the real ending wasn't emotional(I'm not gonna spoil, just in case.).Also, fun fact, this game was inspired by the story <<The Little Prince>>.I kinda wish it was more popular, but at least the small fandom loves the game for what it really is and not for invented content(I mean ships, alternative universes, etc).So basically that's all I have to say, thanks for reading this.

The only way to truly play one shot is going completely blind. If I’m being totally honest I think the limit has been reached in terms of story telling or more the way a story is told. There is no other game like one shot and there never will be. Well there will never be a game that has the same impact as one shot. Put it like this any one remember the sans fight from undertale? Yea imagine the game is sans and all of his attacks are the feels this game gives you only his attacks do double damage and are in avoidable. Sorry but this game is more than art and to even compare one shots story to anything else would be a compliment if the highest degree.

Of course you should - this game will give you amazing emotions. This wonderful game will make you feel happy and will warm your heart but at the same time it will make you cry and give you a feeling of nostalgia. This is a truly amazing game and I still miss Niko and others;) Really recommend to play without spoilers - it worth your time!
