I feel like a better nerf would be to just up the kills needed for the e to 3 instead of 2 and make it so that orbs don’t spawn from assists.

Iso's whole theme is isolating fights, it's in his name it's his whole ultimate. I think his E skill should reflect that, I think an interesting change should be his shield only covering his sides and back, keeping the 2 kill refresh and the 20 sec timer. This way he eliminates cross fires while still being vulnerable to his front

They should just shorten the duration and keep the 2 kill cool down and he can't gain charges for it until his shield duration finishes. Like clove ult, you can't get your ult if you die with one charge off. You get it after the round completes.

i think riots biggest issue is making multiple changes to an agent at the same time. if they just went with one of the two changes they want to make to iso i think it would work for what there trying to do but making both just makes the character feel weak asf and not in a game balancing way, just in a 'I dont want to play iso anymore' way

The changes to Iso were only ever meant to be temporary. His buff was only meant to be a "test of power" and his "nerf" coming in the new act is a test of balance. Once everything is to our mind in a balanced state with Iso he will remain in the state he is. Please continue to give us feedback while we try to find the best possible outcome for Iso.

My iso change that I think would work best is give me back the recharge after 2 kills, keep it 20 seconds BUT change the shield so it halves the damage. So if it's a vandal headshot instead of doing 160 it's does 80, body shot 20 and so on. I think this is pretty balanced and could work well. Where he is still good in a team but he isn't on a timer to be useful

I come back after 2 months of uninstalled. My pc crashes while loading into a swiftplay. By rhe time I can get valorant open again, there were 2 rounds left. In those rounds I got myself out of bottom frag.

1.5 hour ban (not too bad I just do something else)
7 DAY COMP BAN
FOR MISSING A SWIFTPLAY, which I didn’t even fully miss. Thanks Rito, really makes me wanna play.

An easy change for this is to reduce the shield size so it only protect his body but not his head
So its either headshot iso or die
Or just ditch the whole negate damage and change it to defense up/armor for iso instead

I had the same thoughts about the nerf, kinda feel like each change makes sense in isolation (kek) but together it leads to the issue that you talked about and only reinforces his "snowball" identity

Move his shield to be an addition to his ultimate so the power it provides actually makes sense. Replace the shield with something else. Perhaps an ability that can negate/remove certain utility/debuffs for only himself. Make his wall stoppable and maybe increase the width of it by a player or two.

An idea nerf for iso would be to receive the damage of the shield break except be left at 10hp if it would kill, and then he receives his hp back if he shoots he wins the gunfight and shoots the orb.

Make the orb duration shorter, so he has to make a quicker decision.

This would make make trades against iso possible, and make it easier to duel against.

To compensate if needed he can recieve and 3 kill reset no assists.

A buff would be a passive that makes it so you have a bounty that makes it so you have to kill someone, and whenever you kill them you get an extra charge to your ult "kill contract"

They could make it so that while the shield is up there’s no timer, but as soon as it goes down you only have like 7 seconds to get another kill to refresh

What I'd like to see is iso in his buffed state with the only change being that shooting the orb simply recharges the ability instead of insta reapplying the shield. This would add a bit of a delay between each peek and give multiple sound queues

I haven’t played valo in almost two years, but I still watch every single Keeoh upload. He’s the only way I keep up with the game because I just love his gameplay and commentary.

I think the nerf they should have done is remove the Orb Mini Game outside of the ult then add back the 2 kill reset.

Basically you put the shield on and it stays on for a longer duration. But when you kill someone with shield up, you don't get an orb to reset shield. Once the shield breaks, it's gone. The only way to get another shield is to get another kill.

So essentially you would put on a shield before a fight, most likely win because of it, but then you don't have your shield anymore. You need one more kill to get another charge. Which you can do by using his vulnerable or something.

The only exception to this is his ult. If you Winn the ult, an orb will spawn for you to refresh the shield you most likely lost in it.

This way, you can tweak some of his other abilities (namely making his wall stronger) to be an overall more balanced agent.
