Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston met for the first time in 1994 on the Friends set and have been best friends ever since.

Courteney, who turns 58 today, was the one to pick up the pieces after Brad Pitt left Jennifer in 2005 for his Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-star Angelina Jolie, leaving Jennifer devastated.

In a 2005 interview with Vanity Fair, Jennifer, then 36 years old, could not hide her sadness when the interviewer brought up Brad's new relationship with Angelina Jolie.

When asked about rumours that Ange was already pregnant - two months before Jen and Brad's divorce was finalised the reporter said Jen cried silently for several minutes, unable to stop the tears from streaming down her cheeks, before shaking her head, unable to respond.
