RockN2Country is dedicated to traditional country music reactions, including ratings of songs and including them in country music playlists. Most songs are traditional country songs, including bluegrass, country and western, red dirt, folk songs and singers, acoustic guitar sets and rockabilly. "Bro country" is pop country and is not featured on this channel. Many country artists on Nashville music labels have a sense of traditional country music, and we react to those songs and artists as long as they are not pop country. George Strait, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert and other artists on Nashville country music labels have songs that traditional country music fans love, but there are many independent artists out of Kentucky, Oklahoma, Canada, Ireland and elsewhere, and we react to them whether they are well known or not. Some artists have YouTube channels with very small followings, and if they have good music we will react to their songs.

This guy was one of my Dad' s favorite singers. Not sure I had heard this song before. Good, thought provoking message and your analysis couldn't be more dead center.

Tom T and John Prine are in a league by themselves. Greatest story teller of all time! Man, do I appreciate this request and reaction.

Lol, the title caught me as it is my birthday. "Old Dogs, Children, and (Watermelon Wine) is my favourite song of Tom T. Hall's. I love the nostalgic vibe of his songs. Thanks for introducing me to another great song.

I loved that! And, yes, I am a parent who, fairly recently, came to that conclusion.

I'm 57. Some of my earliest musical memories are from Tom T Hall.

I agree with all of your social commentary, I think that's what the song is doing also, but I feel like there's genius in the last line "But I guess there ain't no song here after all." Gosh, I just love Tom T. <3

Thanks Don. I very much appreciated your honoring my request. However while. I generally laugh at the whole Montauk Ed/ Jeff Cather 8.9 debate, this time I am genuinely incredulous.(LOL) The one thing that I feel you were about to mention but got sidetracked by was the old man at the end saying there was no song here after all. To me that is the true genius of Tom T. and the .10+ that clearly puts this over a 9.0 I do believe this to be a true story and was what Tom was doing on this day 54 years ago. So all of these things add up to over a 9.0 in my opinion, but hey we all know what they say about opinions. Anyway thanks again for your reaction, it is much appreciated and I hope you have a great day. #UTRCM

Hey Don love the reactions, could you do a song from Tom T. which is one of my favorite. "I washed my face in the morning dew", thank you and God bless you.

I almost spit my Coke out at the line."How to relieve yourself fast and gentle way".

I think most of Tom T.'s songs are based on his true-life experiences.

How about his cover of "Fox on the Run" a bluegrass song.

Could you do a reaction to Jamey Johnson “ angel”. It’s an original of his on his album titled “ that lonesome song “. It’s got great lyrics and a strong meaning to it about him going through his divorce. A total heart tugger. Would love to see your thoughts and reaction on it.
