Traveling Garden in my RV

Living full-time in an RV makes it difficult to grow a garden. But I’m going to try it anyway. Wish me luck! This is the first of a series of videos about gardening while living full time in an RV.

So this was a couple of years ago. I hung the plants on the back of the pickup and that worked out great until I saw the big bird swoop down and eat them. Also bringing the plants inside with my enormous German Shepard price to be a bad idea. He knocked them over all the time. So now I’m inspired again. I plan on coming up with another method of growing plants. 🌱

I have been contemplating this a lot. I have been exporting micro plants I have found cucumbers, tomatoes, green beans and peas that are micro plants. They claim to be able to grow in as small as 6 inch pots. I am going to start these seeds and learn about them, in preparation for my fantasy van or RV life someday. I found and got the seeds from superseeds.com, the beaker creek seed catalog, and another catalog found at seedsNsuch.com. Now if I can just figure out how to do a few chickens in my fantasy life. 😁

Does the bottom of the pots have more information on them as far as to find them. We too are full timers and your idea of hanging them over the back of the truck sounded like a good idea then I happened to think. Could possibly also hang them on the back ladder.

I use a weak hydroponic fertlizer solution when I water my seedlings that I'm growing under lights and by doing that they don't get root bound. So maybe if use water with a very weak solution of liquid fertilizer you might be able to keep them in the small pots.

Hey Freeda! I have some flat leaf parsley that I just transplanted into a larger pot. I’m also growing tomatoes, but in bags. Gotta do something while waiting for immigration.

Sound like you have a plan. Better to have a little garden then no garden at all. Peace & Love

Thanks for your inspiring video! We are also full time for 2 yrs. now. I also love to garden and have the itch to try a few plants myself. Gonna try, basil, cilantro, chilies, and tomatoes. Maybe ginger. Just now starting. We are in California and Arizona at different places for the next 6 months, so my chances are good. The trouble is pack up on moving days. Also sometimes we take a small pop up out for a few days so I might try a self water system made out of plastic pop bottles. My fear is if we have to put the coach in storage for any if we head into cold weather areas. Will love to hear how your garden adventures are going. I subscribed to your channel. We are in Bishop and travel under the name of The Shooting Nomads. Do you know of any other full timers sharing their gardening experiences?
