We need more laws keeping up with the growth of technology and tech companies. The consumer is the one who pays the price from vulnerabilities.

This is the historical problem with technology. New tech is invented and it is quickly adopted, then we realise that the tech has negative consequences and we start arguing over how to regulate it. Politicians jump on the bandwagon to get brownie points. Rinse and repeat.

Enough talk. Facebook and "others" need to follow the law of the land. If they are private and can choose who says what and what they can say, then they are liable publishers. If they want to be a utility as intended, they can't censor anyone just like a public utility can't stop you from speaking your mind. I buy a pool and only want to fill it half way, that's my business.
