Btw sir I think the reason it's ar and not arc for inverse hyperbolic functions (e.g arsinh(x) instead of arcsinh(x)) is because the functions give you the area of the sector of the hyperbola, wheras circular trig gives you the arc length

im not sure if you've ever explained this or if ive understood this concept well but why do we write d/dx and not dy/dx when Differentiating ?

Is there a method to find the nth term of a series as a few questions in the exercise expect you to work it out?

at 26:30, can the arsinh x formula be used for part b or is it exclusive to everything after it is stated?

if i use an identity like cosh²x - sinh²x =1

if i manipulate that, e.g. divide by cosh²x, do I have to apply Osborn's rule again or can I keep it as is or how/why's it work? also osborns rule only applies to sin²x but anytime you have cos²x, it is also a (1-sin²x), so does it not apply then? I don't understand that part
