Not sure why Kipyegon was DQ. Tsegay definitely instigated it - If you slow it down you can see her swing her arm in and contact Kipyegon forcing Kipyegon to react. at 0:53 Additionally at 0:17 you can see Tsegay nearly collide with the Italian runner while trying to force her way past her. She was quite aggressive during the whole race. It was almost as if she was trying to disrupt other runners intentionally.

Thats unheard of closing speed. Chebet ran the last 800 in 2:01 and the last 1500 in around 4:00.😮

Tsegays choice of line wasnt right, as well as Kipyegons reaction grabbing Tsegays arm wasnt right as well. Some more strict referees couldve easily DQd both, i guess this time the athletes got the benefit of the doubt. Sad for Balocletti having to go through such emotional swings from 4th to bronze back to 4th after such an awesome race.
