Steven Spielberg’s 1975 thriller "Jaws" was not only the first summer blockbuster movie, but it also scared people out of going into the water and even reduced beach attendance in 1975. It also unfortunately perpetuated negative stereotypes about sharks.

The great white shark became a feared predator of the sea and conservation groups have said that the film made efforts to protect the species even harder. We all know now that great white sharks do not behave the way it was depicted in "Jaws." However, they are really big sharks and can grow up to 20 feet long. We’ve made a video that unveils the biggest great white shark ever caught on camera. Catch a glimpse of this beauty!

So they say that she's 20 feet long and some bloke feels the need to discredit that and say she's only 19 feet long 😂 attention seeking much??

Marine biologists get extremely jealous of people that physically interact with sharks. Just something I've observed recently.

Bull sharks, though smaller than great whites, are far more likely to go after people, and as a bonus, have the ability to swim pretty far into fresh water rivers. The movie "Jaws" was loosely based on real events, and may actually have been a bull shark.

The worst thing that ever happened for sharks is the movie Jaws, having said that there are more attempts now for preservation, shark numbers are on the rise, unfortunately so are the attacks, doesn't help at all that tourist boats chum in areas possibly classed at too close, after all like us humans they can make miles in a day . But we must ultimately respect the ocean it's their home, not ours !!

What a beautiful creature, as long as it's not in the same bit of water as me... Can't imagine what it's like to see this while diving, it'd scare the heck outta me

She's got boat prop damage on her port/left side .Those perfectly spaced repetitive series of arcs from the leading edge of a propeller don't look like love bites from another shark

I didn’t know George RR Martin moonlighted as a shark expert and goes with a different name.

He wasn’t “high-fiving” her, he was pushing her away because she got too close....🤦🏻‍♂️

You really couldn't pay me enough to get in the water with these creatures. Now I don't want to see anyone hurt them. But, I don't want them to hurt me either....😂
