2022 Haval H6 GT AWD Fast back SUV FULL Review

Normally I get a bunch of people in, shoehorn them into a car, and ask them what they think, but I had misgivings about the Haval H6 GT.
It is the fastback version of the slightly non-descript H6 SUV. The stats are average, and the equipment level impressive. Then, you look at the price and suddenly the picture is very different.
2 models at $40,990 and $46,490 for a large SUV seems bonkers. The GT Ultra gets AWD, a sunroof, and a bigger entertainment screen. What’s not to like?
The exterior is a world away from Chinese cars of the past. The H6 GT weighs in at 1680kg, so I suspect the sheet metal is a little on the thin side. Nonetheless, the look is handsome for this tall 1729mm SUV. In fact, I’d go so far as to say is is downright sexy.
The LED lighting is automatic but the headlights don’t have the matrix function I’ve come to love. The tailgate is electric with handsfree operation that always works first time. The doors are nice and tall, and there is plenty of room to get in and out. It isn’t as obvious as it sounds. There are some SUVs we’ve tested that are quite trying for someone whose back is of a delicate constitution.
