‘Not the best headline for Harris’: Joe Biden’s ‘garbage’ gaffe examined

US political analyst Aidan Smith says Joe Biden needs to be “a lot more precise” with his choice of words as president of the United States.

This follows President Biden calling Donald Trump supporters “garbage” during a Kamala Harris campaign event.

Mr Smith discusses his “instant read” of President Biden’s comments and how he believes the American leader was solely calling out comedian Tony Hinchcliffe – rather than all Trump supporters.

“Obviously, not the best headline to have seven days out from the race for Harris,” he said.
