An underrated album. Definitely has a special place in my heart as this band was one of the first rock bands I became a big fan of at a young age.

You can tell these guys were fans of Rimsky-Korsakov. Good music.

I think I was wrong about thinking that And The Address opened their show in 68. It was this song. I am a fan of Rimsky-Korsakov as well and I can't think of any contemporary bands who could even come close to this.

In college I had a Cream album where they did this song. I didn't realize Deep Purple did a version. A guy in my dorm had the Deep Purple album with this song on it. I think both versions are good.

This album was so heavy for 1968. "Happiness" comes from the translation of the classical piece it's based on - Felicitude? Could be Ravel or Khachaturian. Shades... is as good as those other first albums, ..In Rock, Burn, Come Taste the Band, and Led Zeppelin 1!
