For a 2.0 4cyl, this is beyond quick. This will smoke a lot of V8s & large displacement V6 motors.
Heck, I bet even a Camaro SS or Challenger SRT8 will have issues shaking this "little 4cy" off their tails, and Cayman S & 370Z will simply be dusted.

Formula One currently uses 2.4 litre four-stroke naturally aspirated V8 reciprocating engines. They typically produce 224 kilowatts (300 bhp, 304 PS) per litre of displacement, far higher than most naturally aspirated internal combustion engines. This will change to smaller-displacement, 1.6 turbocharged V6 for the 2014 season.

The best 4 cylinder engine. Period. It is the first to produce more than 300 hp for 4-cylinder while consuming less fuel and less maintenance costs. Typical 2.0L currently can only manage up to 250 hp

At first I started to think how much power can a retune give, then I read that the stock turbo is set up at 26psi! Forget tuning, you need bigger turbos, bigger intercooler and bigger injectors along with better intake/exhausts

It still has 360hp and 450nm of torque in a 1200-1300kg car. The size of the engine doesn't matter that much anymore due to turbocharging. The engine itself is impressing, 180hp/liter, so I wouldn't blame it if it ''lacks performance''

Small V8s do exist though, the Ariel Atom for example has a 3.6 liter V8.

Well I wasn't sure about the weight, I presumed it was near the normal versions. But to me too yes, it indeed is quite quick. Downsizing and growing hp/L is the future..

Only thing is since its a turbo u have to rev to 4k then accelerate. I wonder how reliable this car is?

If this car can reach the numbers claimed by mercedes in the fuel consumption, then it´s totally approved.

Look at the fuel gauge on the beginning of the film and at the end. It's getting lower and lower with this speed :D

Whether this engine will last or how long / short it will last is still unknown but for sure it has the highest specific output for mass production car. FG XR6 with double the displacement only produces 2% more power. Testament to "good" Australian engineering capability / incapability. German cars are the best.
