They gave me an NT1100 the other day when my VFR was in getting some work done. Like you I had the manual with quick shifter and didn’t want to give it back. Loved every second of it and so comfortable. Now to convince the wife we need to buy one 😂

Nice video. Just traded in my Kawasaki Versys 650 for a manual NT1100 last weekend. I immediately took a trip to the Elan Valley and it was fantastic.

Very thorough and informative review Craig, great stuff. Looks like a great all purpose bike and definitely a contender for anyone considering buying a quality touring bike. Interesting hearing about you covering the front brake. It's something I seem to do without realising. Working my way through the France videos, and really enjoying the journey, envious much 👍

Great review Craig this was the other bike i was looking at before i got my Tracer 9 GT which overall was better valve for money for me, but there is nothing wrong with the Honda NT1100 its a nice tourer

thinking of swapping my 2014 vfr in for one of these just for comfort, viffer has you leant so far forward, just to go from a single sided swing arm, v4, and way better looks makes it hard but the nt looks like a dream machine for 2up and a shorter rider like myself, just wonder if the dullness of it will make me miss my vfr as I do love it even though Im wrecked after a weekend of 500-800 miles

Just had a test ride on the NT1100 DCT. It is a lovely bike, and I'll probably end up going in tomorrow to order one. But... no way is it better than a Crosstourer. I rode my 1200X for 7 years and 49, 000 trouble free miles. That V4 is the best ever engine in a motorcycle, and I found the seat to be absolutely fine. I only sold it as I was beginning to find it's weight an issue. Yes I know the NT is no light weight but 37kg less is significant.

You don't have to connect the headset to the bike for car play to work. Don't pair the headset with the bike. Pair your headset to the phone and when you're connecting the phone to the bike via the cable long press the back button on the stearing wheel. Sorted 😉 (works on AT and since it's the same unit here it should work exactly the same)

I'm seriously considering one for next year, finances permitting.
As much as I love the VFR, as I'm getting older and fatter, it's just becoming more uncomfortable, so definitely in the market for a more upright bike.

Great review Craig better than some of the so called professionals nobody seems to say what a bike is like at slow speed ie 3 or 4 mph. Can you adjust the screen on the move ? thanks

Currently have an old ST 1100 lovely bike but a heavy beast. Waiting for the right replacement So many reviewers seem to be lukewarm on the NT But your review has made me book a test ride. It seems to have a lot of what I love about the ST Would have been lovely if it had a shaft drive but understand economics. Had a pre VTec Vfr one of my favourites of all time.
Not a bad price either with standard kit. Nice review 👍

Great review thanks! Coming from a VFR800 I can totally see why you'd prefer this. For me, I ride an FJR and I'd miss the power difference, but also my electronic adjustable screen and suspension. I'm not too sure about the looks either, but I am tempted to test ride one. Cheers!

Love mine had the comfort seat and QS fitted from new didn't fancy the DCT just wished it had a electric screen like my old ST 1300

Liked your video - just the right content. Bought my NT 1100 in Nov 22 - same colour. I paid extra for the Voyage Pack. Have had the Touratech Garmin Zumo XT Locking Mount fitted rather than use Apple Car Play to navigate - it’s brilliant. May I ask what was the make of the tank bag you had? Many thanks.
