Just spent a week riding the 2022 GPX FSE300R. This is the new model with the NC300 DOHC engine and Delphi fuel injection.

Sorry the audio sucks on this video! I was recording in a noisy environment and found that Windows 11 does some funky automatic attenuation and amplification crap based on environment noise, so it came out with such poor quality... Windows 11 has been really messing with my ability to edit lol. Anyway hope you enjoyed.

GPX needs to give you a bike for long term testing. You have quite a few followers who would want to see that. It would also make a great bike for a Glenn Helen Endurance race. Interested in hearing if GPX does have a way to change the map/tune.

Its crazy of anyone's opinions on the internet knowing who you are and what youve done that i totally respect your thought's more than anyone elses.
Few people have done and can do what you do. Thanks for this video

I recently purchased two EGL A16 250s for my wife and I, they are essentially the same bike as the GPX FSE 250e without the electronic dashboard. They were $3000.00 each and the only problem I have was the air box cover doesn’t fit properly but a drill, a clip nut and a screw fixed it. I have the same problem with the forks on the sharp repetitive hits but they take the whoops like a bike that costs much more. The air cooled 250 motor is easy to maintain and so far is reliable. It has very good low end torque and I have taken it on some technical single tracks and the clutch has preformed well. All in all being a budget that would not allow me to buy a new European or Japanese bike I am happier than I expected to be.

Excellent review. Glad you could get out there and spend some time in southern Utah! Considered the GPX but settled on a very low hour WR250F instead for less cash. I'm happy.

Just putting this out here for information...I own a Kayo K6-R 250cc..it is the same dual over head cam engine as the GPX, just smaller. So I wanted to address the quality of the build and pass on some knowledge. My Kayo has a much better quality build than other china bike builds..it is how the specs were ordered for the build. Example: grade bolts, chromoly steel frame, billet hubs, larger spokes, heavy duty aluminum rims, Kenda tires, aluminum break away levers, aluminum sub frame, billet aluminum clamps for front forks, stainless steel pipe, aluminum swingarm and I can go on and on....GPX does similar things...they get their bikes made to their specs. Not all of the bikes are built to these levels even the lesser priced bikes by Kayo, SSR and GPX use different quality of metal and components to meet a price point. They could build exactly the same thing as the big 5, but it would cost the same price...and that is not what makes them appealing ... So in summary my Kayo K6-R is the best pure MX bike to come out of China ever, but still I am aware that the engine is a little less powerful (think Suzuki RM250z) and a little more heavy (different metals in suspension) but I could buy 2 for the price of one this is the same for the GPX, Gary is trying to put out an affordable bike that most people could ride to it's potential and can afford.

After fortnines video about engine manufacturing cleanliness I don’t have much interest in Chinese bikes-I’d be curious about the long term reliability

Good unbiased review Gabe. I had a similar experience with my FSE450. However, with my crappy experience with both the bike and customer service, I will not recommend GPX to anyone. It seems that they have slowly addressed some of the issues, but the price keeps going up. To me, the price point is now at a place where a used bike makes more sense. Check out my 450 review videos on here for more in depth information. Keep it up buddy!

Well I'm thinking that even with the price increase on the GPX models, I could still get the FSE300R and the TSE300R for a little bit more than one KTM300XC or XC-W. But, I'm still a little bit on the fence about it. If I buy a new KTM, I'm getting a quality bike no doubt, with good resale value. The GPX bikes, probably not much on resale, but, I would have two bikes, a four stroke, and a two stroke, very cool. So I don't know yet. Lol

The sweet scent of ktm tears! I about lost it when I saw the KTM tears aromatherapy candle on your site, that's hilarious! Had to order one.

Glad you ended up making this! That 300 does look pretty nice. If I didn't already have my Beta I would totally consider buying one and just plating it out of state. Stupid California.

The SOHC Version of the '300', NC250, is a great engine. Its just a big bore, bit it adds some nice extra low end grunt. I have the SSR300s which is certainly more bare bones than the GPX bikes (And cheaper), But I have a blast shredding on it.

Kind of promising, but I want to see one ran for 300-400 hours. Can you get spare parts? If you think of it, you can get a low hour 1..2 yo brand bike for the same price. Which would you pick? I bought a -21 350 KTM last summer for little over 5000e. Something like 40..50 hours on it ridden by a vet and more bark than you´d ever neeed. I bet I can put 300 C-class hours on it before opening the engine. Extra rims, no problem, around every corner. Levers, plastics, radiators, bash plates, what ever you need, no problem.

Probably the best review I've seen.
Im going to check out if the 300 is available and plateable in the EU immediately
