The infamous metric 3/8 is always my go to socket.

If you cant find an extractor socket just wait til you go looking for a metric 3/8th socket

It helps to grind the end down on the sockets so the socket fully enguages with the bolt head because most of the new ones have the pattern away from the end of the socket. My dads old snap on sockets came all the way to the end of the socket and i strip a lot less bolt heads out with the ground down sockets or his old snap on ones.

I always just hammered a 9mm on when I didn’t have extractor sockets

When metrics get like that I use the almost equivalent standard size 6 point and some love taps to get them loose. Works 90% of the time

That 10mm walked away soon as he set it down !!

"Safe space don't wanna lose it"
Instantly lost. Nowhere to be found.

The pounding with a hammer no doubt shocks the fastener threads free, too.
Dont forget to start with 10-15 seconds of propane heat and then penetrating oil first if she's rusty!

You should get the 1/4" shank wire brushes you can put in a drill, much faster and better.

"And take the 3/8ths and pray"

A pair of channel locks get the job done if you’re strong enough and you don’t have to damage a socket

When I bought replacement parts they sent me bolts/nuts that were one size down from OEM and I didn’t have an 18 so I also hammered the 17 on shaving some of it off

“Metric 3/8” big dawg mentality right there.

I think 3/8 is slightly smaller than 10mill, might work as well

"First, put the 10mm in a safe space. Don't want to lose it."

Hate to break it to you, but that 10mm socket was gone the moment you took your eyes off it.

If you have room you can use an impact driver

I was getting ready for the 10mm to disappear
