I was wondering the other day "Can you upload 16K video to YouTube?" And how big is 16K video after all? So I tried it out and you can see the result here.

I have a 3900x Ryzen 4.4Ghz overclocked, that's the first time i seen it struggle with anything ever. 8K wouldn't stop having to buffer and my cpu utilization was at 90% , that's nuts.

its closer to 15k than it is 16k though.
15360x8640 is 15.3K
apple even call their displays 5k resolution because its 5120×2880
I know that the convention right now... but that doesnt mean it shouldnt change

16k is relatively the same resolution as imax 70mm film so it’s not really necessary for most movies

i think yourube disabled the 16k option. its not available to choose. Even youtube-dl -F is not displaying 16k as an option. I can select 8K however.
