I was a flight attendant for 10 years, and it would’ve been about 10 seconds of an interaction with this passenger Karen before I would’ve completely ignored her. I would’ve ignored her so hard she would’ve come to doubt her own existence.

It's interesting how people always "know their rights, " but never seem to understand that the owners of private property can set the rules for their property and if you don't like those rules then you can leave.

Never had a problem with AA when flying. There have been one or two attendants who were a little tired, but, never rude or 'bitchy'. Just tired and ready for down time. Who can blame them?

The flight attendant was doing an amazing job of trying to maintain a sense of humor during a very hateful woman passenger.

Attitude & body language shows it all, and the stewardess is slightly amused, and clearly just trying to pacify the situation, while those filming are trying to capture a gotcha moment as they complain and make a situation out of nothing, while being pissy and snarky. I think we all know who the Karens were in this interaction.

Former FA here. We dealt with this exact scenario constantly. Passenger asks for something we can't do, passenger gets angry like a toddler and verbally assaults flight attendant. I can almost certainly guarantee she also told the mother she can't have her carry-on bag on her lap and she probably didn't like that either.

Martha was kneeling down to pickup her demo kit; that’s what flight attendants do.
The demo kit includes one safety card, one oxygen mask, one seatbelt and one life jacket.
Since it is done in the middle of the isle and there is no place to put the items that are not used for the demo other than on the floor, at the end of it the flight attendant will kneel down to pick it up.

Passengers pay for seats on a metal tube. They don’t pay for servants. Flight Attendants aren’t there to attend to your every need and I can’t tell you the amount of entitled passengers who come onboard thinking they deserve the world. Especially when they’re being snarky; the same energy you put out is the same energy you’ll get. We’re not robots. We have a lot of patience but at some point…cant do it anymore, you’re booted. Martha didn’t do anything wrong that day and this little girl is a perfect example of entitlement. Lashing out and lying when you don’t get what you want won’t make anything better.

I love how in her follow up video she tries to pretend no one said "b!tch" and that Martha just made it up out to start drama. But in the first 5 seconds of the video she admits that they DID say the word and claims that "it's on you for associating with that word". Her own video proves everything she said was wrong. I think she really believed everyone would blindly agree with her.

The airplane, like the airport, every store, bowling alley, restaurant, etc, are all private property belonging to some company. Any representative of that company can tell you how to behave in that space and you must obey or be subject to eviction or other sanction.
