Dat Dere - Cannonball Adderley Solo Transcription

did this transcription a few years ago and thought I might share it with the youtube community!
I'm planning to do more transcription videos, so please comment if you would like me to transcribe a particular solo..

Nice work, but a couple of things that are incorrect: The rhythm section is NOT playing the changes from the melody during the solo. If you check it out you will hear that they are doing this basic thing: Cmin/ D7 G7/ Cmin/ D7 G7/ Cmin at this point then they go Cmin /Bb/A-7b5 Abmaj7/D-7b5 G7/ Cmin. I noticed that Ball was playing a bunch of A naturals where that Abmaj7 would go, if the rhythm section was playing the changes like the "head", and that seemed pretty weird, so I started checking out the piano and bass, and sure enough they are playing different solo changes. Also, in bar 8 and 9 you have a couple mistakes. The first C# in bar 8 is really a D, then the last note in that bar is an F which resolves to an Eb as the first note of bar 9.

Like it, i think i may be able to play it on melodica and learn a lot of stuff with it, but make you notate your swing correctly. i don't like seeing that tied triplet deal like in the beginning.

Oh, one more thing: On Bobby Timmons' piano solo they ARE playing the "head" changes.
