VDOT: Safe Routes to School Liability

School administrators and principals often cite liability as a chief concern when it comes to encouraging walking and bicycling to and from school. This webinar builds on previous webinars from the National Center for Safe Routes to School and the National Partnership for Safe Routes to School. However, liability policies may not be clearly understood throughout the school division. Becky Short, a Safe Routes to School Coordinator discusses how she has worked with her division to address how to best understand liability and share clear and consistent information with her division.
