I think that the pit is really more or less a hallucination. The MCI is clearly wrong, the animatronics are doing dances not invented, and the entity being able to inhabit any suit is all weird. Maybe the ballpit just had some disease or mould or something that caused ozzy to hallucinate everything that happens after he enters it for the first time

I didn't realize before until I watched a theory but it turns out, no matter if they were murdered or actually missing the employees would still say they were missing anyway. This is found in one of the tapes of FNAF 1.
