I love how Michael is pretty dismissive about scy while he could very obviously have been (one of the) greatest scy swimmers if he tried at all. To be fair he (and Lochte too) got this good in turns 'n stuff after they were of college age, so maybe the damage would have been minimal, but imagine a prime tapered Phelps dialed into scy swimming a 400y IM, I don't think anyone could come close to that.

I am a recreational swimmer... watching this video reminds me how “recreational” I am 😂😂 to cover that same distance in a short course takes like 2 minutes??

That is Phelps going all out 100 fr. He was great at the 100 fr but maybe only top 15 of the world during his best. Now his 100 fly and a few mid distance events, a much different story

theres a guy on my team who goes a 43 .62 hes maybe the fastest on the team and has a stroke very similar to this one

Still funny has he is about 14.54 seconds faster than me lol. I am a fresh man right now and I hope I can get to sub 50
