Also, thanks for the upload. Formula 1's editors completely not showing those fights.

Very nice job !

Daniil made a perfect move to get enough room, but he didn't anticipate that he had to left also room to Sergio. I don't like such kind of move as Lewis on Valtteri in the 51 lap or Max on Charles in Austria. It's not going hard, it's just pushing out of track an opponent as show it each footage. For Daniil, it seems less intentional, so clearly, his penalty is due to his belonging to as smaller team, but his opponents' car were both damaged in Mexico and in US. He had to make such move, but he didn't anticipated what was coming next. Taking over is a full process which is not limited to find a door open ... He is on the way, but still has to improve himself.

The best fight of the US GP is the one between Hulkenberg and Raikonnen. Four corners side by side, Niko finally wins, but gives back his position to Kimi because in the third corner he step out of the track. I am not a fan of Niko, it was call of his team, but I was really impressed. Such a fight shows what it should be ...

From an out perspective, its is possible to see kyvat "flying" out of control for a moment after the agreesive inside kerb move, also, checo made the apex before kyvat and kyvat barely made the corner even after using perez as a wall.

Kvyat my brave Russian boiii. He knows how to race.
Now to be serious: In my opinion that's just a racing incident. And yeah that was almost a corner cut. I think that was just the driver instinct in that second. But back to that racing accident: Look back to Leclerc and Verstappen. In Austria Verstappen punches Leclerc from the track. In Silverstone it was the other way around which leads me to the no penalty solution. As you said: This was hard racing. That's what many want so see. Thanks for that video. Didn't saw it on TV. Thanks for that

Haven’t seen an analyses like this before. We miss a lot of action from the midfield teams. But I understand not everything can be shown with 20 individual races going on at the same time. I like your content please keep going great to see an American enjoying F1 that much!

7:14 "He probably would have gotten away with it if this was Max"

Did you completely forget about USA 2018?

Для нас башкирская звёздочка, это радость ведь благодаря нему автоспорт в России развивается, но когда его штрафуют 2 раза подряд за то, что по сути гоночный инцидент это довольно не круто

Just had a look at some of your other content - a lot of good work.
Something is not right though, because you are not gaining traction.

The work should theoretically pay off in the long run, as you will be able to compare incidents, either for a particular driver, or for similar circumstances.
However, if the subscriber base doesn't build, the work will be lost in the haystack.

There are many background issues at play (in both vids & F1) that can impact push lists etc.
Having said that, the results indicate that there are some fundamentals that are not chiming with the viewing public.

It could well be the branding.

The eye sees Cranky Yankee - not F1.
If you are specialising in F1 analysis ... maybe 'F1 Analysis' is a good name.
If you were going to watch an F1 analysis video ... of the two names, which one would you pick to watch?
It also avoids preconceived opinions, and hangover political connotations.

Personally, I'd also dump the commentator overlay, and instead use pointer graphics (rather than struggling with your finger).
It divides attention, whilst not bringing any positive benefits
It's like taking a picture of an object and standing in front of it.
The vids would be easier to make, and referral to past published videos would be easier, as you wouldn't have to re-edit yourself out of the shot.
... and also, none of the other successful analysis channels use this technique.

I'd also make sure that the tags and description include the basic search features - name, country, circuit, year.
Eg. F1 US Grand Prix Austin 2019 (the US might get a second race).

I'd also cover the tags and description with other search terms - maybe United States, COTA etc.

Finally; and this is a real balls-ache - you might go into the tools, run the auto-script, then edit the errors and save the script.
This will flag your video as 'subtitled'.
It's a big thing for YT, and you should get you loads of Brownie points for doing it, as 2nd language English speakers can use it AND Google Auto-translate then enables non-english speakers to understand your analysis.

It's extra work, but it can be done after the initial upload.
It could trigger the push list algorithm ... and you need that to build critical mass, and pass the 1k subscriber limit.

Clearly, the key is to get a controversial incident uploaded quickly, but the bulk of the tags and description can be prepped in advance in a text file, and just pasted in a second - then add the particulars.

Good luck!

When I first heard about the crash I thought Dani has lost his head once again (the one in Mexico was just a stupid divebomb in my eyes), but looking at this POV, the first reaction is racing incident. He set Perez up for a risky overtake on the inside of that corner, and I guess it's possible to do it there. However where I think what caused the penalty is the fact that he took too much kerb (as you pointed out) but also, lost control of the car while breaking and clipping the inside sausage kerb, which would have affected his breaking ability and I think the stewards looked at that as (possible) dangerous driving.

In regards to Grandadmiral comment about the Verstappen/Leclerc incident, when you look at the footage, while Max forced Charles off the track, it was more down to tyres banging together, and while a reckless move to win a race, he didn't launch himself over an inside sausage kerb and didn't have the chance to slow the car down.

Honestly since the German GP where Kvyat performed perhaps the best race of his career since the Red Bull days, it seems like (to me anyway) that something has happened and the confidence he once had has gone and he's back to making silly mistakes, which in turn ended up with him losing his seat in F1 for 2018.

First - he is Kvyat, not Kiviat. And second - only two wheels on curb.

Good work!
The preceding footage is useful.
Many are attempting to label this as a torpedo attack.

I agree with your reasoning.
A 'racing move' that could not be completed without forcing Perez off the track

... others might have been dealt with differently, but he 'caused a collision', so a penalty was always possible.
Worth the risk for points ;)

Hm.. while in Mexico it was obvious, not so sure about this one. If there was no mexico just a week ago, then probably this one would stay without attention. That being said, him trying to overtake till the last moment is not a bad thing. He is doing what he is supposed to do, with skills he has. I would say this is probably Max'es style.

The only problem Dani has is that he is not a rock star. If Vettel or Verstappen would do the same, no one would even think about a punishment. Kvyat only used the room Perez left him. It is a task of the racer to give it a try. It was not even a crash, it was just a racing incident. Perez had every chance to avoid the collision.

By the way, check the torpedo of Alonso in the same turn in the USA 2016 against Massa. Alonso never got a penalty. And this crash is known today as EPIC OVERTAKE.

Very good Video, I think it wasnt really a Penalty because he got a bit squeezed by Perez and also there were very similar incidents which werent penalised like Austria (Max and Charles).

are you trying to say that if a car understeers and rams into an outside car it is a sure penalty but if the car has not understeered and crashes into outside car its hard racing? and why are you talking of curb when that wasnt the problem at all?
try making your analysis concise and you will have many subscribers!!!
