Just uad a quote by these people for 5 windows that was gonna be a third of what i paid for my house. The vinyl windows may be cheap, but they will cost 19 thousand less and still be a huge upgrade to this 40 year old house

There are many videos showing testing of heat transfer/ energy savings with the low-e dual pane compared to older single pane and it's about 4% so long as the window sealing is good. It's the leakiness that causes the heat/cold transfer (draftiness- energy always transfers from hot to cold). new window seals if it leaks, and you can use aerobarrier to seal up to 1/2" gaps throughout your house.

Just had windows put in by then 2 weeks ago. When windows are locked, they slide side to side, with no sealing being done. They are coming out next week to see what the issue is. We'll see what they get to pawn off as an excuse. I may need to lawyer up.

I have $40k worth of these windows and a sliding French Door in an old brownstone in Phila. They are great. No fuss and one stop shop. I have the largest double hung they made in one window. Any issues with capping, window, screen, internals- just call and they take care of it. I haven’t had any.

ok, so I just had a Renewal by Anderson rep quote us a price of $43k for 14 windows, one tiny bath window plus one patio sliding door in our bedroom.
1. After going thru the numbers, we had adjusted to simply do 3 regular windows, bathroom and one sliding door (1/3 of all the windows) which still came out to about $12k.
2. We readjusted the options to only the bedroom sliding door which was now close to $5k.
3. Finally re-adjusted the project again for only 3 regular windows plus the tiny bathroom window for $4.5k.

I had a hard time accepting the $1k price tag for 4 windows when one of them was a tiny bathroom window for nearly a thousand.

At the end of the day, I did not take the bate with all their incentives and discounts but their window seem to be superior in quality compared to others. I was told that I can have an Anderson Window placed by another contractor but the workmanship will be of inferior quality while voiding the warranty when not placed correctly.

I loved the windows and what they had to offer but could not get passed their price tag. If I start on one, I feel I need to complete all with the same name brand to keep all my windows uniformed as one. The sales rep was excellent, the windows seem awesome but that sale price is just too big to jump when I have other home projects I need to complete such as exterior siding

Are these prices insane, or is it just me??? $43k for all my 15 windows and a sliding door?

Are they worth it ? I am starting to wonder. My parents spent over $22, 000 in these windows. One of the windows already as a crack. The windows wobble, they aren't strong and stiff. They are a pain in the rear when you go to close a window , the latch will not engage , you have to fight with the top window to get the bottom one to align, and latch

They'll spend more energy removing bad reviews from Google than they will in coming up with a better install price.

Nice windows. But the salesman failed to inform us that handles on the sash windows were not provided. Who ever heard of sash windows that do not come with the handles to lift them? They are an option we have to pay for. Our old vinyl windows had a built in ledge to lift them. Also the salesman showed us photos of all white trim for the new white windows. They put unfinished wood trim on and we are expected to paint the trim ourselves.

Same problem as every one on this page. I need 18 windows in my duplex thought with 20% off renewal by Andersen would be affordable (NOT) they wanted $50, 000.00 after the 20% off. $20, 000.00 would have been more reasonable. The commercial is very misleading

10 year frame warranty and 5 years for labor. Fibrex is 60% vinyl

They have the most 5 star reviews for a reason, don't listen to the trash comments of people who can't afford good quality windows below. You get what you pay for.

I tried to engage RBA for two windows but they have a three window minimum. There product is excellent, but they employ high pressure sales techniques.

I bought and and installed a nice sliding door for less than a quarter of what Andersen wanted to charge me. They remind me of Timeshare salespeople

They are incredibly expensive.
I had a sales man come to my house, for 4 windows it was over $10000.00
It's a joke. They are thief

The biggest con job is people not realizing its a window .No matter what type of window you install you will lose heat.

Yeah a quote for 58000 413 windows and one van discounted me to 44000 so I did the math that equates to 2850 per window and 8000 for the patio high price the windows and door from another company 9000 for everything for the same Anderson 100 series fibrex so that equates to 35000 in labor

I will never do business with Anderson before they even came out they quoted me $3, 000 per window and $15 to $20, 000 for the patio door these people are a joke don't fall for their bull crap

Anderson could care less about the customer. They prices are so freaking high, most can only afford to do 3 or 4 windows, which is NOT taking care of the customer.
