It’s full because these people WANT to buy a home, but can’t afford to. Not because they’ve had their eyes on renting a detached “apartment.”

In all fairness its a good option right now... Unfortunately the market still needs to crash, especially for younger generations

Coming from somebody who has not rented in 35 years I would prefer this but I have looked online at their floorplans and rental amounts and they are higher. The ones here in Queen Creek are ridiculous. I wonder what will happen to all of these neighborhoods when/if the housing market changes and the younger people start buying.

So they are detached but very close together houses? I've wondered if this is a solution for elderly to downsize. They don't need the maintenance of a normal property but also don't have shared wall neighbors.

Big money buying up all the land so individuals can't own it, just rent it. They tried buying my land and I told them to put their money between the fruit and the loom.

These homes are an awesome choice. The Apt in Gilbert are more than my mortgage

the concept of rent is anti-capitalist, tenants should be given small fractional shares of ownership in exchange for on-time payment, that would provide the positive incentives of capitalism

These wouldn't have to be built in the first place if housing was affordable. These houses there building today are ten feet away from eachother usually sit on 0.25 acres. I can't imagine having a 500k house and know everytime the neighbor does laundry. Bring SEARS houses back.

Thre are pricey, but I stayed in one located in Chandler when I forst moved to AZ and it was a solid experience. The only issue is that they are pricey today.

Its full but give it time. This is by design. By 2030, we'll all be in rentals.

There are some of those rental houses in the entrance to my neighborhood in Queen Creek.

When the owners realize the long term repairs and maintenance cost of these things they won't be as popular. The oldest properties of this style are only about 7 years old. Numbers haven't come out on them yet. They won't build many more of these once the true operating expenses come to light. Much more expensive to maintain than traditional apartments.

They seem cool. A little on the pricey side though.

Who can even tolerate that relentless heat anymore? I left 10 years ago after living there for over 20 years and never looked back. And it just keeps getting hotter becabecause of all the building and concrete and asphalt YUCK !!

These homes are being built now in Queen Creek on Cloud Rd & Rittenhouse.

That's the problem, people keep renting these things and they will keep building. Unfortunately now, with the costs of rent and inflation most middle class people are stuck with rent so high they'll almost never own, keeping the rental market high from the demand.

supporting capitalism means opposing feudalism and communism, like renting

Of course it's full, the people who say we are building too much and they are going to be empty have no idea what they are talking about. These mega corporations don't invest that kind of money not knowing what they are doing. People who say stuff like that know nothing about business.

There are similar rental communities in Queen Creek. Rents are not cheap though. That very fact should keep the unwanted low life types from living here. 😊
