This needs to be shown in every film school just to show students that there's more than just directing and producing out there.

My grandpa worked as a grip for almost twenty years. He got to work on everything from Howard the Duck to The Right Stuff to even a scene in Return of the Jedi. Austin, thank you for talking about his job. It's super cool getting to see someone address the non-flashy job, and I'm sure he appreciates it.

In The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy Movie, they included "Knitting" in the credits because one grandma made the entire scene of characters out of yarn

By the way, here in Japan it is actually customary for everyone to sit through all the end credits right to the very end... and yeah, it's a sign of respect ;)

I've worked as an Assistant Director for a while and people outside the industry always thought I was the Director's Assistant...
But I kinda get the confusion, since most people think movies are made by 5-10 people...it's hard to comprehend why all these other "extra" positions are needed, unless you've been on a set.

a fun thing to do during credits with friends:
point to every single "David" you can find, whoever is the fastest in finding the most "David"s wins
