LBRN Bioinformatics Informational Webinar (Orientation Session)

During the webinar, we discussed about the planned educational resources developed for the Louisiana Biomedical Research Network (LBRN) Bioinformatics Training Program. This program is designed to provide participants with hands-on practical experience with analysis of Genomics, Transcriptomics, Metagenomics and Epigenetics Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data. During this program, students and faculty will have the opportunity to try analysis methods on curated project examples and get involved in research opportunities using public domain data. The courses will be held both online and at the LSU Center for Computational Technologies and will utilize the T-BioInfo platform that facilitates learning and education without coding requirements. This platform was developed by the Tauber Bioinformatics Research Center and is in public beta in various research labs across the world.
