Though thinner and lighter, does the new PS Vita actually make improvements over the original?

Im loving my Vita, its the perfect little portable playstation. People forget its made to be a portable console, for places like Cars, Planes, Journeys and such. Its a device you can play console quality games on the go, and thats great.

I bought a used vita on eBay very cheap just for remote play lol. In no way do i actually need it as a portable gaming device, especially when you have an ipad and smartphone. But I thought, why buy a brand new DualShock 4 for a ridiculous amount, when I can pay a bit extra and get a mint condition vita and use it as a second screen and a second controller :). Now I can play my PS4 on the toilet and play 2 player game using my vita as another controller, best decision I ever made.

I'll stick with my original Vita, thank you very much. The thing is built like a tank, and the screen is beautiful. Price wasn't an issue either. I bought mine used-like new for $90. The big issue with Vita isn't the console itself, it's the iffy game catalog (unless you just love indie games and anime) and expensive proprietary devices, like the memory cards. PS4 remote play is an awesome feature, but basically non functional if you're trying to use it in places with spotty wi-fi or poor internet connectivity (like airplanes or going out in the middle of nowhere for camping, etc).

I just bought it today. It's really great. A HUGE improvement over the original, including the screen (there are many problems with the original OLED.) 

The portability is greatly improved, it feels WAY more comfortable in my average-sized hands, and the Micro USB connectivity is much better. Also the fact that it now comes with an 8GB memory card is a huge plus!

Had Thick vita just bought the slim and love it!, color tones are nice, weight is amazing and battery life is out of this world. People continue to say vita has no games, Vita has no this in that, that's so garbage.vita has plenty of games and is worth every cent you put into it!

I finally decided to pick one up yesterday and I can honestly say that I haven't been disappointed at all. I use it strictly for gaming and everything flies smoothly on the vita. The only thing that I dislike is that their memory cards are costly so going fully digital is going to cost, but will be worth it once I pick up a memory card. The screen doesn't bother me, games still look great when they're not all stretched out to compare to PS3 games. There needs to be more psone and psp downloadable games and I'd be happy.

Things Sony should do to make the Vita sell like hotcakes.
1. Team up with RockStar to make a Vita exclusive GTA game built for the Vita
2. Make a The Last of Us side story game where you play as Ish(players will know what I'm talking about)
3.Make a new InFamous Vita exclusive game for it
4.Get in touch with Suda51 to make a Vita exclusive game.
5.Bring in more games from Japan into the market, believe it or not, a lot of people would buy them.

It reminds me of how big the change from the original iPad to the iPad 2 was. The difference is that the screen on the iPad 2 got BETTER.

The psvita is a unique gaming system. I'm big handheld kind of person so you can imagine how much I love my 3ds and vita. I do however play my vita more, and my 3ds is just a street pass Pokémon machine. If I had to choose, to same my 3ds or vita from a fire, it be my vita.

Bought my vita slim in February and still love it. Sure the screen isn't OLED, but I won't have to worry about burn ins or any other problems OLEDS go through. Also the slim feels really light and I can use a micro usb to charge, so yeah definitely worth it. People that are saying the vita isn't worth it, are the same ones that don't bother to try other types of games. If you don't try other genres and stick to one, then obviously you'll get bored easily. Lol people these days always love to find something to complain about like idiots :/.
