Peterson's mistake here is that he assumes that the liberalism that will emerge from within Russia, China, etc. will be the same like liberalism of the west. I think that from Dugin's perspective the reply would be that Russia has Russian liberalism and China Chinese and so on and that these will be something that each civilization will have to come to terms and deal with on their own the conclusion being that liberalism in places other than west doesn't have to end up turning into a disaster.

This video is nearly a decade old now & a lot has happened in the West since, mostly for the worse I'd say. It would be interesting to see how Peterson's views towards Dugin's thinking may have changed.

What to debate Peterson with Dugin???This Man is pure pseudo-intelectual joke for Dugin sincerely....Dugin is a mystic Man who don't speack a word in 1 hour in reality, but when open is mouth and put out a word, you need a day to understand ....This Man has the power of the word....
People who want a debate of that type don't recognise the level's....Mediocrity to debate with Dugin....Sure no ....
The man is a great mind in reality, not a Youtube Star!!!!

Basically he is siding with dugins aims of fighting modernity . Just differs on strategy ....Jordan Peterson has very pro traditionalist learning similar to dugin. Notice he never really opposes dugin .

Liberalism in Russia would be limited by the Orthodox Church . There won’t be a separation of Church and state and the fundamental values ; the Capital Virtues and the understanding of their polar opposites the deadly vices would be promoted . In western liberalism the vices are promoted as good and virtues are shunned by popular culture without the strength of overwhelming religious faith

Strip away the politically biased language and this, this right here, reveals the metaphysical/phenomenological movements that are most pressing to all contemporary philosophers. What else is their besides conservatism and accelerationism? Do all conservative movements (anything not radical) merely delay the inevitable? Is there a good path through accelerationism? Or r we just fucked regardless? These are the questions

My belief, is that the roots of this clash can be traced to Zionist and Anti-Zionist ideologies..

Would very much to see a debate between Dugin and Peterson.

And so what if it rises up? Youre criticising a russian idea that came up in the west, the difference of it is i think most governments that would practice the fourth political theory would have zero issues obliterating that dissent.

I love JP in front of a class and teaching the sh*t out of it with his sleeves rolled up. The new look with the tailor made suits doesn't seem as authentic.

i don't see any problems with ideas emerging. Some are unnatural for the culture than the others. In the west there are also unpopular and marginal opinions about Donbass and then separatist regions. But i guess west also has to dig and figure what is happening.

Dugin is a bit rough on liberalism and expresses it to a Trump like extent like building a wall. Such things of course are more emotional with him. Final idea is to rather choose the tradition over whatever is on the left already. Majourity would like that, ni question asked.

This is so cringe

He isn’t discussing whether having distinct local and diverse culture as opposed to western hegemony is good or bad

But instead he is cringing that it will happen eventually anyways ?! 🤔

Dugin is not a true traditionalist, he is a Russian Imperialist/ Nationalist who was more influenced by Evola and other fascist thinkers than the truly traditionalist philosophy of Rene Guenon, who was very much above politics - disdainful of such 'superman' actions - and advocated priestly initiation, prayer and contemplation. Dugin is good at fooling people, he comes from a long of strong men Russian soldiers and KGB agents and is coopting the fragmented conservative West to his own goals - a Russian-Islamic Empire in partnership with Iran and the total destruction of America.
