BART completes Transbay Tube seismic retrofitting project

BART has completed its earthquake retrofit of the Transbay Tube, the transit agency announced Monday as it celebrated 50 years since the first train traveled in the underwater tunnel linking Oakland and San Francisco. Bob Redell reports.

I remember back in Sept 1974 when the Trans-Bay tube 1st opened I recall in early 1975 my mom and I with my sister and her aunt rode Bart to SF it was a very exciting time.
