About 6 or 7 years ago I had just graduated from college, was working a job I hated, driving 45 minutes to an hour one way, oftentimes through the snow in my crappy '97 Aerostar van. I used to get off work around 2 AM and the radio station I would listen to would inevitably play this song on my way home. I always felt at peace listening to this on a quiet night. I get nostalgic for those days for some reason, especially when I hear this song.

Growing up I’ve been chasing everyone else’s dream and going to college for a career my family want me to do. I know they mean well but to live their dreams or so that they could be “proud” of me seems like poison when I’m older and I look back on life. It’s probably stupid but I’ve dropped out since then at 21 and have a office job lined up. I’m gonna use that money to fund what I want to do in this finite amount of time I have.
