There are no mechanical changes made to the 2 Series. The M240i retains its 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine, while the 230i's 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is still included. For the 230i and M240i, these engines provide 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, and 382 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, respectively.
The exterior has not changed much. The new optional "M Sport Professional" package, which comes with extra rear spoiler and blacked-out trim, is the most visible improvement. Additionally, BMW has added a few new color options, such as the eye-catching Vegas Red and Zandvoort Blue, which was previously limited to the M2 but is now available for the M240i.
