With my first apartment, I got a tiny 4x6 rug to go in our decent sized living room because it was the cheapest. It looked ridiculous 😂 live and learn!

Nick, please mention you can afford a large rug if you go to a carpet store, buy a large remnant and have the edges tapered

A third option is to skip the rug entirely. My rug was just a little too small but looked ok. I took it out while I potty trained resident small child and found that our living room feels larger without it.

I would love to see some videos on non toxic rugs abs furniture ! We have so many allergies !! I am the chief decorator in my family and we need new bedroom rugs for all abd family room ! I never ws allergic to propylene before until last year ! Ugh !!Had to sell my rug on f . B marketplace . Made my eyes water abd I got a horrible headache . Allergic to wool . So what do I do ? I have a grandson that visits and we have an older child still at home who’s not careful . I dint want to put to much money in, are there such things as all cotton rugs with no chemicals ?

I've gotten some inexpensive large area rugs from esale rugs.

I don't get this trend, could someone help to understand?:
1) How do you clean this rug?

2) You have to lift all the heavy furniture to clean it?

3) It used to be that throw rugs were either central inside the furniture layout, so you could easily pick it up and wash it, or it covered the whole periphery, i.e., all 4 legs of the sofa and chairs, and it was treated like carpeting. This half on/half off makes it look undersized and awkward for the space. Where did this concept come from? The world is upside down!
