I caught The Nasa Solar Sail in Orbit and some weird Blue Object while filming it with My A7s Sony

Nasa deployed a Solar sail for testing which I believe is near 600 square feet.
It's 600 miles above Earth.
I used my Sony A7s with my F.095 lens to video it as it moved from the South to the North. While filming it a Blue object came into view. The video doesn't show just how blue it was. I have never seen a blue satellite in the many hors of filming the sky.
I sped some of the footage up 16x.Where you see objects flying fast

at 70 y.o., I've been an avid night sky watcher all my life! I've seen literally dozens of U.F.Os in my time just with my eyes, no telescope or anything. But watching your view of the night sky is breath taking! People often ask me how is it that I get to see UFOs all the time? I simply tell them to go out at night and look up!

I like the crickets and frogs in the background. A nice night out under the stars. ✨

In the mid 60’s when I was a kid… I remember Walter Cronkite talking about watching satellites after sunset. I would go in our backyard and lay on the grass for hours and maybe see one or two. These days… you have to be laying face down not to see one… a dozen in the first minute of viewing is common anymore. I am 64 now and still love to watch them.

My husband tells a story of a UFO landing in Pierre part Louisiana. He was an 18-year-old kid. And he watched it for over 20 minutes in a sugar cane field. He said he had been seeing blue flashing lights and thought it was just a cop having pulled somebody over. After 20 minutes, he decided to look out the window and there was about 100 yards away from his house. And he panicked and shut off all the lights in the living room, and the local sheriff appeared on the road. He was watching the same thing. His name was Lonnie . After some time, chinook helicopters started getting closer and they literally were vibrating the windows and the house. His elderly parents had gotten out of bed and said what the hell is going on? My husband said you’re not gonna believe this……. i’ve been his wife for over 32 years now, and I have always waited to see a change in his story or anything that could be perceived as a lie. And my husband has never told the story any differently. And just me being married to him for this long he’s not a liar. He’s a very honest truthful man. So I truly believe him that he saw one.

I'm fortunate I live in an area with complete darkness around and full visibility of the sky. It's amazing to see the Milky Way every night when it's not cloudy. I do see my fair share of lights of unknown origin and odd directional travelling patterns!

It looks like a highway at rush hour, a much appreciated document! A great way to show how polluted our orbit is, easily repeatable and extremely compelling. Best wishes!

I like to imagine I'm looking down on this scene, rather than up...

Thank you for sharing.

I saw something blue one night also. I just assumed it was a satellite. It wasn't zipping around crazy or anything special. It clearly had an orbital trajectory. Ask NASA they would know. I'd also bet they would love to have a copy of your video. If for no other reason than to add another resource to promote education in the sciences.

Great work!

This video made me realize how much I miss clear starry skies. Too much cloud cover in SE Asia during the monsoon seasons. Thank you, I enjoyed the viideo.

Thank you for posting this. We live in Northern NM just outside Taos. At almost 8 k ft away from any cities we see the milky way clearly. Our night skies are a precious wonder that now many people cannot even see. I feel sad for them.

The new starlinks sats are blue, if you can see the train they are a line of blue lights. Absolutely disgusting the number of sats up there.

pretty cool, i wish you had zoomed in on the sail and that blue object like you did with the rotating satellite 👍🏻

It's a trip seeing the stars in the northern hemisphere.
Our sky in Oz looks so different.
I've always wanted to see the northern lights and the north star.
The Southern Cross and Scorpio are fantastic to watch rotate around the sky
I got a time-lapse of it, not a great camera though

It is insane how much stuff is flying around the planet now.

Ive actually observed plenty of satellites by eye. When I started using binoculars I realized some of them shine blue which can't been seen as blue with the naked eye. I found that interesting first time I seen it. I thought it was just an anomaly until I compared it to others and then other blue ones too (through binoculars - which are easier to track with than a scope).
